In my youth, I was a pretty good athlete. During my Judo career, I was invited to the tryouts of the USA Olympic Judo Team. Wow! It was quite an honor to be invited. Although invitations were predicated on your standing in your district. My district was the Midwestern District, West of the Mississippi, East of Kansas, South of Kirksville, Missouri, North of St. James, Missouri, and encompassing about a 10-square-mile area, having 20 other contestants. Most of whom were white belts.
